When to use Locative Case in Polish?

The locative case (miejscownik) in Polish is used to indicate location or place.

Indicating Location or Place

• Mieszkam w Warszawie. (I live in Warsaw)

• Jestem w domu. (I am at home)

• Książka leży na stole. (The book is on the table)

After Certain Prepositions

(especially if they indicate location)

• Spotkamy się w szkole. (We will meet at school)

• Czekam na autobus na przystanku. (I am waiting for a bus at the bus stop)

• Rozmawiamy o książkach. (We are talking about books)
