Terms of Service (General terms & conditions)

Welcome to LearnPolski.com ("we", "our", "us", "the website owner", "the company", "the firm").  ​​These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions" or "Terms of Service") govern your access to and use of our website and services made available on this website, including live Polish language courses provided by the website owner. By accessing or using LearnPolski.com, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

  1. By registering for or participating in any course hosted by LearnPolski.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service along with the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.

2. Eligibility

To participate in our live courses, you must:

  1. Be at least 18 years of age

  2. Have access to a stable internet connection, a device capable of supporting videoconferencing tools used by us (Zoom and/or Google Meet), and the required software to access course materials, homework exercises, class notes and class announcements (above all else: email address, web browser, text editor, pdf-file reader).

Please note that our educational services are designed for individual learners only. We do not offer our services to companies, organizations or any other legal entitites under any circumstances.

3. Course Registration

  1. To enroll in a live course, you must complete the registration process on LearnPolski.com. You will be required to provide accurate and up-to-date information which will be processed according to the Privacy Policy during registration.

4. Course Schedule & Access

  1. Course Dates & Time: All live courses are scheduled based on Warsaw time zone (Central European Time), unless explicitly stated otherwise in the course description.

  2. Courses are conducted via Google Meet or Zoom, unless otherwise specified in the course description. We reserve the right to change the videoconferencing platform during the course, even after sharing the initial link, in the event of technical issues or to better accommodate the needs of participants and organizers.

  3. Courses conducted in Polish are generally held in Polish. However, some materials or instructions may be provided in the language used in the course description.

  4. Access Link: Prior to the start of the first class, you will receive a link to the live session. This link will either be available on the website once you are logged in or sent to the email address provided during registration.

5. Payment and Pricing

  1. Pricing: The cost for each course is listed in the course description. Payments are made via external payment processing provider. By going through the process you must agree to their terms and conditions.

  2. Discounts/Promotions: Occasionally, we may offer discounts or promotional codes. These are or may be valid only during the specified time period and must be applied during checkout.

6. Refund and Cancellation Policy

  1. Cancellation by Participant: You may cancel your registration up to 14 days after registration. You can do it on the website or contacting us through contact form. No refunds will be given after this time has past.

7. Intellectual Property

  1. All course materials, including worksheets, interactive exercises, slides, quizzes, images, videos and any other content provided during live sessions or made available to website users are the intellectual property of the website owner and are therefore copyrighted. This also applies to anything that is openly accessible (such as blog posts).

  2. You are granted a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and view the course and website content solely for your personal use. Redistribution, recording, or sharing of course materials is strictly prohibited.

  3. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or share the course materials in any way without express permission from the LearnPolski.com website owner.

8. Rescheduling of classes

  1. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right for some classes to be cancelled and then rescheduled. In such cases, the make-up class will be held on the next meeting date that logically follows from the regular pattern of the course schedule after the originally scheduled end of the class, unless the students and instructor agree to a different time and date.

9. Recording and Screenshot Policy

  1. Unauthorized Recording Prohibited: Participants are strictly prohibited from recording audio or video of any live class sessions, in whole or in part, by any means.

  2. No Screenshots: Taking screenshots or screen captures of the live classes, course materials, chat interactions, or participant/instructor video feeds is strictly forbidden.

  3. Enforcement: Violation of this policy may result in immediate removal from the course without refund, and may lead to further legal action if necessary.

10. Participant Conduct

  1. Respectful Behavior: During classes, you agree to engage respectfully with instructors and fellow participants. Harassment, offensive language, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:

    1. Inappropriate Language: The use of obscene, vulgar, or offensive language in any form, including but not limited to jokes, slurs, or derogatory terms. This applies to all forms of communication, including the language of instruction (whether Polish, the language of instruction, or any other language), class discussions, messages, emails, or any other interactions.

    2. Political Statements: Making political statements, expressing personal political opinions, or engaging in political debates that disrupt the learning environment or interfere with the course objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, discussions, comments, or actions related to political ideologies, parties, or controversial issues that may create division, discomfort, or distraction among participants.

    3. Religious Statements: Introducing religious discussions, proselytizing, or attempting to promote or convert others to specific religious beliefs during the course. This includes, but is not limited to, sharing personal religious views, engaging in religious debates, or distributing religious materials in a manner that disrupts the learning environment.

    4. Religious Intolerance: Any form of discriminatory behavior, language, or actions directed at individuals based on their religion, religious beliefs, or practices. This includes making derogatory comments, displaying prejudice, or engaging in exclusionary behavior towards others because of their religious views.

    5. Ethnic Discrimination: Any behavior, language, or action that belittles, disrespects, or disparages an individual based on their ethnicity, race, or cultural background. This includes using harmful stereotypes, making racist comments, or treating others unfairly because of their ethnic or cultural identity.

    6. Disability Discrimination: Making offensive, derogatory, or dismissive comments or actions about an individual’s physical or mental health, or any form of disability. This includes mocking someone’s disability, making assumptions about their abilities, or treating them as inferior due to their condition.

    7. Harassment or Bullying: Any verbal, non-verbal, or physical actions intended to intimidate, humiliate, belittle, or create discomfort for others. This includes name-calling, mocking, exclusionary behavior, or any repeated action that creates a hostile or unsafe environment.

    8. Sexual Harassment: Any form of sexist language, jokes, or behavior  and any form of unwanted sexual advances or comments. Any form of sexist, gender-based discriminatory language, jokes, or behavior, as well as any unwanted sexual comments, messages, interactions, or the sharing of explicit content.

    9. Offensive Humor: Jokes, comments, or any form of humor that is deliberately intended to offend, demean, or belittle certain individuals or groups based on characteristics such as race, religion, nationality, disability, or other personal traits. This includes humor that perpetuates harmful stereotypes or marginalizes others, creating an environment where participants feel uncomfortable, disrespected, or unsafe.

    10. Personal Attacks: Insulting, demeaning, or attacking other participants, instructors, or any member of the community on a personal level. This includes making derogatory comments about someone's appearance, character, or personal qualities, and engaging in harmful behavior intended to degrade or humiliate others.

    11. Hate Speech: Any form of speech, written content, or behavior that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or other protected characteristics. Hate speech is harmful, often inciting division or aggression, and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

    12. Intellectual Disrespect: Dismissing, belittling, or insulting the opinions, perspectives, or contributions of others based on their educational background, experience, or expertise. This includes mocking or disregarding someone’s thoughts or insights solely because they differ from your own, or because the person holds a different level of education or knowledge in the subject.

  2. Consequences of Misconduct: If you engage in any of the behaviors listed above, including making inappropriate comments or statements in any form (audio, video, chat, or shared materials), you may be immediately removed from the course without any refund. LearnPolski.com reserves the right to expel any participant found in violation of this conduct policy without providing a refund.

11. Technical Support

  1. While we will make every effort to assist you, LearnPolski.com is not responsible for issues caused by your own equipment, internet connection or videoconferencing tools (Zoom and/or Google Meet) used to host online classes.

12. Limitation of Liability

  1. LearnPolski is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that may arise from your participation in the live course, including but not limited to, data loss, internet outages, or technical issues.

  2. The website owner does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or relevance of the information provided on the website not during the classes.

13. Privacy and Data Collection

  1. LearnPolski collects personal information for the purposes of course registration, payment processing, and communication about upcoming courses. For more information, please review the page with Privacy Policy.

14. Modifications to Terms of Service

  1. The website owner reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. If any material changes are made, we will post the revised terms on our website. Continued use of the website and participation in live courses after such changes will constitute your acceptance of the updated terms.

 

15. Termination

  1. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the live courses if you violate these Terms of Service. In such cases, you will not be entitled to a refund.

16. Governing Law

  1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by Polish law and the services provided on this website are governed by Polish law.
