Course Description:
This course is intended for absolute beginners with no prior experience in Polish, as well as those looking to refresh their understanding of the language. It focuses on building practical communication skills through essential vocabulary, everyday expressions, and foundational grammar structures. The curriculum consists of 28 teaching hours over 12 sessions (see schedule below). Worksheets are provided for you to download before each class, and after most sessions, you'll be assigned homework in the form of interactive online exercises to reinforce what you've learned.
Topics Covered:
Alphabet and pronunciation
Greetings, basic phrases and expressions
Numbers and counting (0–1000)
Telling the time and date
Adjectives, colors, days, months, and seasons
Taking about the family
Introduction to cases: accusative and instrumental
Conjugation of regular verbs (-m, -sz)
Modal verbs
Means of transport and verbs of movement
